{"id":224,"date":"2014-02-26T09:02:02","date_gmt":"2014-02-26T09:02:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digitalchild.info\/?p=224"},"modified":"2014-02-26T09:02:02","modified_gmt":"2014-02-26T09:02:02","slug":"outlook-2013-messages-stuck-outbox-fixed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/randomadult.local\/outlook-2013-messages-stuck-outbox-fixed\/","title":{"rendered":"Outlook 2013 Messages Stuck in Outbox [Fixed]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve done a few dozen installs of the new office 2013 on various machines lately and until now all email hosting has been through either gmail or 0ffice365 so I hadn&#8217;t come across the issue of messages being stuck in the outbox.<\/p>\n<p>In my case the email account in question was an IMAP account and no matter what I did I was unable to stop messages being in the outbox. They were still sending, just also leaving a copy in the outbox and you couldn&#8217;t delete them.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">There are quite a few possible solutions but the none of them seemed to fit my cause.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/2663435\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Microsoft Knowledge Base 2663435<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ablebits.com\/office-addins-blog\/2013\/11\/12\/email-message-stuck-outlook-outbox\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AbleBits &#8211; Why email is stuck in Outlooks Outbox<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fix<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After all my searching and trying a whole bunch of settings it was quite an easy fix. It&#8217;s something I should have tried but because I hadn&#8217;t used IMAP accounts in a while I just plain forgot.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Open up the account settings &gt; Change &gt; Advanced<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Then under root path add &#8216;inbox&#8217; save your settings and close them and you are good to go.Well I was!
