Fallout: New Vegas

I finally got my hands on a copy of the latest release in the Fallout series, Fallout: New Vegas. This is one of the only game series that I’ve actually played since the beginning at the times of release. I played Fallout 1 to death, I wasn’t really happy with Fallout 2. Fallout: Tactics was ok, but the turn based nature of Fallout is what makes it so awesome. When I got Fallout 3: I dropped off the planet for close to two weeks. It’s a testament to the fact that Interplay didn’t really do a good job with 2 which is probably why their attempt at Fallout 3 failed. I’ll see how much of a time vampire this installment is.

One thing to note is that this isn’t Fallout 4. It’s more a stand alone story line based in another part of the same universe of Fallout 3. It’s also made by Obsidian Entertainment the guys behind Never Winters Night 2, which I’ve not played. Fallout 4 is still in the works from Bethesda Softworks and I’m looking forward to seeing where they take it. For now I got a new Fallout fix and I’ll be reporting back on how Obsidian did compared to Bethesda.
